Art for Art’s Sake – To Blog or Not to Blog

by gallori on November 22, 2007

So, if you follow my kajillion and two blogs you know that goals for 2008 have been on my mind.  And if you don’t follow them, you can read about how to set (and achieve) your own goals and a perspective on not having goals that should make you feel good.

Over the past year I’ve started and rearranged my blogs for the last time and I’m wondering if I should set the goal of really writing, like a real writer, for you all.  Not just off the top of my head.  I’ve never done that before and I wonder what it entails and how good at it I would be.

So, I have a challenge for you.  If I take on that personal challenge, will you tell all your friends and ask them to tell all of their friends?  I mean, I could put in in more time on this since 2008 is my ‘art for art’s sake’ year but what good would it do if only the four of you read it? Or maybe that’s an art in itself…kind of like the Tibetan monks that do the sand mandalas and blow them away after a weekend or so.

If I do that I’ll have to commit to not starting so many paragraphs with “So,…”

And then, if I decide to put that on my goals list, where do I start?  I know out of the four of you, you will have some good resources on how to pursue creative writing.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or have Gal-Lori sent directly to your email. Don't miss a thing!
